so true!!
funny thing is: i rushed headlong into the disastrous HDR hole.
WITH MY EYES WIDE OPEN - and i’m not 100% over it yet.
given my image editing past and always knowing that it’s too saccharine sweet
i should’ve known better. but it still got me….
HighDynamicRangeImaging seems to be like a weird drug: you know it’s not good for you but it’s oh so shiny and tempting…so you get kinda addicted - and if you overuse it you can’t appreciate the reality no more. until you get a huge hangover and start to really feel bad about it. this is when you eventually stop using it at all or start to use it right: very seldom and very sensible and cautious.
maybe that’s the way it has to be to make progress in photography?
let’s hope so….
